Mold Sampling - Tape-Lift for Direct Exam DIY

Step 1. Choose Clear Scotch tape. NO Frost tape. NO Packing Tape.

 

Step 2. Fold 1 inch tape to itself.

 

Step 3. Pull another 2 inch of tape, tear it up.

 

Step 4. Hold the folded end, and position the rest 2 inch tape to where it needs to be sampled.

 

Step 5. Use the other thumb or finger to tape lift against the sampled spot; IMPORTANT: not to cross-contaminate, wash hands if necessary.

 

Step 6. Do NOT fold the tape-lift any more, insert into a Zip-loc bag, one sample one bag.

 

Step 7. Stick the tape-lift onto inside of the bag; IMPORTANT: do NOT fold the tape-lift.

 

Step 8. Clearly mark the sample(s); Repeat the procedure for all the samples. IMPORTANT: not to cross-contaminate, wash hands if necessary.

 

Step 9.  Download the Sample Submission Form, fill all necessary  information, SIGN at the bottom;  -->Make payment, enclose a check, or money order; Mold testing is $75/sample.  Multiple sample discount is availble;  Mold Consultants/ Inspectors please contact us for contract pricing (support@bioidea.net).  -->Mail in Priority Mail of USPS, or UPS, or FedEx with tracking number.
